Comments from Course: Tony Schwartz
Wildhawk currently is looking for a course Superintendent. The goal is to have a replacement
starting January 1, 2012.
Joe Wakefield is acting Superintendent.
All of the Starters and Marshals will no longer be paid, but will be offered free golf for their
services.
Wildhawk Staff will be offered to join WPA at a discount. Tony will provide updated list.
Pro Shop Update:
2011 will end the relationship with Adams, and Cobra – Look for these products to be discounted.
Back Practice Range has had the tee boxes aerated and seeded.
PGA has taken soil samples from Tee Boxes, Greens and Fairways. The recommendations will
not be implemented until a new Superintendent has been found. This also applies to the sand bunkers.
For the upcoming Fun Tournament all the bunker under repair will be marked.
Starting in 2012 Wildhawk Golf Course will kick off a Fix our Greens Campaign and will give
away 2,000 free plastic divot tools to help golfers fix and repair ball marks on the greens.

Tournament Committee – Scott Davis
Two Person Fun Tournament – Holes 1-6 will be a Scramble, 7-12 will be Alternate Shot, 13-18
will be Best Ball – If enough people sign up, there will be three flights.
Need Volunteers for Scoring and Marshalls – Tony will help with scoring and Bruce will help
with Marshall.
Steve Martinez will make sure the names are on the Trophies.
2012 Tournament Schedule was submitted and will be voted on by the Board.
Information Committee - Chris Savolainen
Todd Bessey and Jenifer Turvill have resigned as board members due to personal conflicts.

Pay Pal only three people have used so far. WPA has a dispute with the Franchise Tax Board for
a $20.00 charge. Current Checking Balance is $1,613.13 and a $400.00 deposit coming.

Prize Committee - Phil Kuhn
Two Tournaments left - Turkey Ball and Christmas Raffle, will make a decision on how much money
is available for the Christmas Raffle at a later date.

Membership/Administration Committee - Deane Hammitt
Current WPA membership is 273 already have 4 members signed up for next year.
Website Committe - Bruce Hoffman
George had a question regarding the frequent player program – has wanted to make sure he got credit
for the tournament he Marshalled.
Travel Club Survey: 250 member’s surveyed and not one person requested Wildhawk be put on
the schedule. The main reason is the course condition.
Ask Sheldon High School Art Class to come up with a new WPA Logo – Bruce and Carl will investigate.

Motion to reduce Entry Fee for Two Tournaments: NCGA 4 Ball Net Qualifier on March 10th &
11th and NCGA Net Amateur Tournament on July 14th & 15th from $150.00 to $130.00 per person.

Motion to change the WPA Club Championship from a two day tournament to a three day
tournament and charge $200.00 per person.

Tournament. Any persons wanting to run for the Board please submit you requests to Phil Kuhn
and will be voted on by the members.
