Format:  MATCH PLAY

This is a match play competition with four flights; Championship, President’s, Director’s and Secretary’s. The Championship Flight will be players with 4.1 WPA Tournament indexes and below and will play scratch or gross scoring. The three other flights will be developed by dividing the balance of players equally and utilizing the WPA Tournament handicap indexes as of the dates of playing each match. These flights will be played net.

The FINAL MATCHES will be played in the morning of SUNDAY, JUNE 13, 2015. It is expected that all participants will complete their rounds by the deadlines set forth or be subject to forfeit. This includes the Championship round.

Signups and Entry Fees Entries close on Sunday March 2, 2014. If there are 8 or fewer in the Championship flight, it will become double elimination. The Flights will be listed on the WPA web site, in the Wildhawk Grille, and sent via e-mail to participants. Only those who have paid and are current WPA members will be entered into the Match Play event. The entry fee is a one time $50 per person fee plus green fees. Participants are responsible for paying their own green fees for each round.

Rules and Ball Placement:
USGA Rules Apply; Fairways, Rough, Bunkers, and Greens – the ball being played down. If playing in both events all balls MUST be holed out.

Handicapping:
Women and Super Senior handicaps (please see the WPA web site for a complete explanation of Super Senior handicapping) will be adjusted per section rule 3-5 USGA/NCGA Handicap System.

Tees:
The Championship Flight will play the Gold tees, the men will play from the Blue Tees, third flight and above will play from the White Tees, and the women from the Green Tees.

Scoring:
Match Play is scored by the Number of holes won, In the event of a tie after 18 holes contact the pro shop to continue on hole one and play until winner is determined in a sudden Death format.

PRE ROUND INSTRUCTIONS
Competitors will pick up scorecards in the pro shop. Cards will show appropriate handicap strokes for player per NCGA system.

POST ROUND INSTRUCTIONS
The Winner of each match is to:
     1.  Update the bracket sheet located in the Wildhawk Grille with the winners name and score. (Example 3up or 2 and 1).
     2.  Turn in the scorecard to the pro shop and the pro shop will deposit the cards in the WPA box.
     3.  Both players will email names, date played, and scores to the WPA webpage at “Night Hawk Designs wmaster@citlink.net
     4.  All players will post their own match play scores into the NCGA computer.

The number of players will determine the amount of prizes.
